Delhi Govt launches Centre for AI at NSUT
The Centre will have a modern Supercomputer which can be accessed by other universities too.
Delhi Government today launched the Centre of Artificial Intelligence at Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT). The Centre will have a modern Supercomputer which can be accessed by other universities too.
Sharing the information, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia, who also looks after education said that the centre at NSUT will allow world-class efforts in upcoming fields of Big Data & High-End Graphics.
Earlier this morning, Delhi Skill University along with Simplex and India Vision Foundation has started a special training program of 15 days to make construction workers, masons, etc. skilled craftsmen, under which 2 lakh workers have been given skill training in various fields.
As per the Delhi government, with this effort, the income of workers will increase up to ₹8000 with upskilling. “By getting good, smart workers to the construction companies, their productivity will increase, the work will be better, and there will be a lot of savings too,” Sisodia wrote on Twitter.
Manish Sisodia also added that the training program will increase workers' productivity by 40%, increase the quality of the product by 25% and decrease material wastage by 50%. He writes: “This would lead to savings of up to ₹2 crores on an average 5 lakh sq. ft project for construction companies employing our skilled workers.”
