GATE 2026 CE, EE, and ME Exam Feb 14 Live: IIT Guwahati will be conducting GATE CE-1, EE exam in the first shift TODAY (Feb 14). The GATE 2026 first shift timings are 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. IIT Guwahati will resume the GATE 2026 exam TODAY. In the first shift, the GATE exam will be conducted for CE-1, EE, and PI. The computer-based test will be held in two shifts for 3 hours. The GATE exam timings are forenoon: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm for afternoon session. Documents required on GATE exam day

GATE 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Avoid carrying any extra personal belongings or electronic gadgets, such as mobile phone, calculator, text materials, or digital watch.
After the entry, candidates will be allotted system for attempting exam. GATE online calculator is implemented in the system to do calculations. They will be allowed to log in 20 minutes before the exam time to read the instructions.
Does GATE have negative marking?
Yes, candidates must note that GATE 2026 has negative marking for MCQs only. For one mark MCQs, 1/3 mark is deducted, and for 2 mark MCQs, 2/3rd mark will be deducted for incorrect responses. Therefore, it is advised to attempt questions smartly. There is no negative or partial marking for MSQs and NATs.

GATE 2026 CE, EE, ME Exam Feb 14 Live: Validity of GATE Scorecard
The validity of GATE scorecard is three years. IIT Guwahati will release the GATE scorecard on March 27. Candidates who qualified for GATE can download their scorecard at the GOAPS portal. To download, candidates must provide their enrollment ID and password. The scorecard will be available for free download from March 27 to May 31. Later, the scorecard can be downloaded by paying a fee of INR 500 till December 31.
