GATE 2026 registration date last date: IIT Guwahati has released the GATE 2026 application form on the official website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The last date to apply for GATE 2026 with regular fees is October 6 and with extended fees is October 9. Students who are in the final year or have completed their bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline can apply within the deadline.
GATE 2026 Exam Dates
The GATE 2026 exam is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15. The exam will be conducted in two shifts- forenoon (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). However, IIT Guwahati confirms to reschedule the GATE 2026 exam, due to the exam date clash with the UPSC ESE Prelims exam. The GATE conducting authorities have assured aspirants that the GATE core papers, such as EE, IN, CE, GG, PI, EC, and GE will not be scheduled on February 8.
How to fill the GATE Application Form at GOAPS 2026?
Candidates can fill the GATE 2026 registration form by visiting the official website. First, they have to register and fill out the details, such as personal, educational qualifications, communication details, etc. Once the details are filled, candidates must upload the documents and pay the GATE 2026 exam fees. Lastly, they must confirm the declaration form and submit the GATE 2026 application form.
Documents Required to Upload in GATE Application Form 2026: Candidate’s photograph and signature, valid ID proof. SC/ST category must upload their category certificate and PwD or Dyslexic candidates have to upload their medical certificate. The documents must be uploaded as per the specifications.
