GATE 2027 and IIT JAM 2027 Exam Date Clash on Feb 14; What Candidates Should do

IIT Madras will host GATE 2027 on Feb 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21 for 30 subject papers in two sessions. While, IIT Kharagpur will conduct IIT JAM 2027 on Feb 14 (Sunday) in two shifts. The subject-wise dates for IIT JAM have been released. As per the test schedule, the morning session covers Chemistry, Geology, and Mathematics, and the afternoon session covers Biotechnology, Economics, Mathematical Statistics, and Physics.

GATE 2027 Exam Dates
IIT Madras will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering for six weekends. However, the branch-wise test dates are yet to be announced. Until it is, no one can predict which GATE paper will fall on February 14. However, looking at past trends and patterns, it is most likely that core subjects, like CSE and ECE, might be scheduled on this date, allowing candidates to appear for both without facing an overlap.
What candidates must do?
The clash may affect those candidates who want to appear for Chemistry, Geology, or Mathematics paper. Since, GATE 2027 exam dates are yet to be announced, here’s what candidates must do right now:
