GATE 2026 late fee registration last date: The GATE 2026 registration window with late fees will close TODAY (October 9). To apply, students must visit the official website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Interested applicants must fill out the application form within the GATE 2026 registration deadline to be eligible for the exam. 

IIT Guwahati will close the GATE 2026 registration window TODAY (October 9) with late fees. Now, candidates who will submit their application form within this date will be eligible to appear for the GATE exam. The GATE 2026 exam dates are February 7, 8, 14, and 15. During the GATE 2026 registration process, candidates have to enter their personal, educational, communication and exam details. 

GATE 2026 Registration Process with Late Fees

The GATE registration 2026 process is similar and can be filled in the following way -

• Visit the official website and register to create an account at GOAPS 2026
• Now log in with the credentials (enrollment ID and password)
• Fill out all the details and upload the documents
• Pay the GATE 2026 application fee and submit the form.

Once submitted, candidates can visit their GATE candidate login 2026 and check their GATE application status. 

GATE 2026 Late Registration Fees: Accepted Payment Mode and Date

The GATE 2026 application fees during the extended period can be checked below -

• For female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the fee is INR 1500
• For all other applicants, the GATE 2026 late fee is INR 2500

Accepted payment modes for GATE late fee registration are - debit card/credit card/netbanking and UPI. The last date to make payment for the GATE exam form 2026 is October 9, 2025. 

The GATE 2026 exam will be held for 30 branch/subject papers across 200 cities in India. International candidates must note that there are GATE exam centres outside India. To appear for the exam, students have to select at least three exam cities from the same zone. 

GATE 2026 Correction Facility Start Date

The GATE 2026 correction facility is expected to start in the first week of November. Aspirants who want to make changes in their name, exam centre, category, or GATE paper can make changes during this period. However, an additional fee is charged to make specific changes. The last date to edit the GATE application form 2026 is November 6.
