GATE 2027 Exam Dates Announced
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will conduct the GATE 2027 exam. The authority has launched the official website for GATE 2027 at gate2027.iitm.ac.in and announced the complete exam schedule online. As per the announcement, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 will be conducted on February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21, 2027, in computer-based mode across multiple exam centres in India.

The GATE exam is conducted as a national-level entrance test for admission to MTech, ME, PhD and other postgraduate programmes offered by IITs, NITs, IIITs and several participating institutes. GATE scores are also accepted by many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for recruitment. Candidates planning to appear for the postgraduate engineering entrance exam must have a look at the official schedule and begin their preparation accordingly.

GATE 2027 Exam Dates
According to IIT Madras, the GATE 2027 examination will be held on six days in the month of February. The exam will be conducted in morning and afternoon sessions. The authority will announce the paper-wise schedule separately.

GATE 2027 Registration
IIT Madras will begin the GATE 2027 registration process through the GOAPS portal on August 14, 2026. Candidates will be able to submit their application forms online once the registration window opens. The last date for GATE registration is September 21. Candodates can continue to submit their application forms by September 30 by paying a late fee.

No, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering examination takes place once a year. Every year, different IITs and IISc conduct exam on rotational basis. GATE is conducted online for three hours for 30 branch papers.
