GATE 2027 Registration Last Date Live: (Ongoing), Exam Fees, Application Status

IIT Madras has advised clearing browser cache, using updated browsers, and avoiding peak-hour submissions close to the deadline. Candidates facing persistent GOAPS login errors should contact the GATE helpdesk rather than repeatedly resubmitting the form, which can create duplicate applications. The credentials required for GOAPS 2027 portal is enrolment ID and password. 

• General, OBC-NCL, and EWS candidates: No documents are required to be uploaded to the “GATE2027” DigiLocker folder.

• SC / ST candidates: Only the category certificate is required to be uploaded to the “GATE2027” (without space) DigiLocker folder, using the file name “CATEGORY.pdf” as specified in the GATE 2027 application portal.

• PwD candidates: All the required documents, as specified on Page 30 of the GATE 2027 Information Brochure (IB), must be uploaded to the “GATE2027” (without space) DigiLocker folder, using the file name formats specified in the GATE 2027 application portal:

• PwD Certificate - PWD_CERT.pdf

• Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card - UDID_CERT.pdf

• APPENDIX-B1 - APPENDIX-B1.pdf

• APPENDIX-B2 - APPENDIX-B2.pdf

• No other documents are required to be uploaded to the “GATE2027” DigiLocker folder.

If your data is mismatch, then do the following:

• You will have an option in DigiLocker to choose one of the verified documents from the list it displays, such as Aadhaar, PAN, Driving Licence, or APAAR ID. You may choose the ID with correct name and date of birth (DOB).

• Candidates are advised to ensure that the details in the selected photo ID in DigiLocker are correct before submitting the GATE 2027 application.

• If a candidate wishes to change her/his name in the GATE 2027 Scorecard after its release, the candidate will be required to submit the necessary name correction documents/acknowledgement/proof, as per procedure.

• Admission based on the GATE score is not under the purview of the GATE 2027 Organizing Institute. Admission is solely subject to the eligibility and selection criteria of the respective admitting institute.

Who can apply for GATE 2027 exam

Candidates who are in 3rd year, final year, or have completed their graduation can apply for GATE. Eligible disciplines include: Engineering, Science, Technology, Commerce, Architecture, Arts or Humanities can apply for GATE 2027. 

How to fill GATE application form 2027

Candidates can fill GATE exam form at GOAPS portal. The steps to apply can be checked below:

• Visit gate2027.iitm.ac.in and link with Digilocker

• complete DigiLocker-based registration, enter personal, academic, and examination-related details, select your test paper and exam city, upload required documents, pay the applicable GATE registration fee, and submit the form.

• Candidates are advised not to delete the DigiLocker account linked at registration, as future GATE communication is tied to it, and to avoid submitting more than one application, since only one form is accepted per candidate. 

Last date to apply for GATE 2027

• The GATE last date without late fees is October 5, 2026

• The last date to apply with late fees is October 12, 2026
