GATE Form Fill Up 2026: IIT Guwahati have activated GATE 2026 registration link on official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in. GATE 2026 online application process is now available at IIT Guwahati’s GATE official website. Candidates appearing for exam can go through steps below on how to register for GATE 2026. Candidates who have successfully submitted application form will be able to attempt exam held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15.
Things to keep ready before filling GATE 2026 application form
Before registering, candidates need to keep following details along with documents ready -
- mobile number and email ID
- Photograph, a signature, and a valid ID proof
- PwD or category certificate (optional)
- Educational qualification details
- College or University details

Applicants have to upload following documents -
- Photo and Signature
- Valid ID proof
- PwD/category certificate (if applicable)
NOTE: No provisional document is needed at time of filling application form. Also, OBC-NCL and EWS candidates are not required to upload any certificate while filling form.

- First, visit official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in
- Click on application portal link
- Register and fill in details
- Login using enrollment ID and password
- Fill information and upload documents
- Pay application fees and submit form.
- Print and download
How to resize and upload the photo and signature in GATE form 2026?
To upload photo, signature, and valid ID proof, candidates have to scan, edit, and resize according GATE image guidelines. Applicants' photograph and signature must be recent and need to be uploaded in JPEG/JPG format. Candidates can also resize their GATE photo using MS Paint, following steps below -
- Right-click your photo and select "Open with Paint"
- Click on resize
- Select pixels and enter required width and height according to GATE registration guidelines
- Click on file and save
While uploading documents, be careful with instructions, which are mentioned in following way-
- Upload photo- candidate's photo
- Upload signature- denotes candidate’s signature
- And upload photo ID stands for valid ID proof (Aadhar card/PAN card/Driving License/Voter ID)
