As India is rapidly evolving in the field of AI, Semiconductors, and Deep-Tech Innovation, VIT Bhopal University hosted the inaugural of IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Electronics and Computational Systems on July 17 and 18. Read below for more. 

VIT Bhopal Hosts Inaugural IEEE International Conference on Intelligence Electronics and Computational Systems

VIT Bhopal has successfully inaugurated IECS 2026, with the objective of discussing the latest advancements in intelligent electronics, computational systems, and emerging technologies. The two-day conference was organised by the School of Electrical and Electrical Engineering (EEE) in association with IEEE Student Branch.

The inaugural session was graced by Prof. Rajeev Dixit, Vice Chairman, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, along with Prof. G.S Tomar, Chairperson, IEEE M.P Section; Dr. Manish Dixit, Chair Elect, IEEE MP Section; Dr. Jitendra Aggarwal, RGPV; and Prof. M.P.S Chawla, Secretary, IEEE M.P. Section, Senior Leadership of VIT Bhopal University, faculty members, researchers and students.

VIT Bhopal University IECS 2026 Highlights

  • Over 2300 research papers were submitted through the IEEE Conference Management Toolkit (CMT), with 232 papers selected for oral presentation across nine technical tracks, following rigorous peer review.

  • Premier Institutions, such as IIT Indore, IIT Jammu, MANIT Bhopal, NIT Puducherry, BITS Pilani, Bennett University, and RGPV, along with researchers from France, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, China, Belgium, and several other countries, participated in the conference. 

  • The key highlight of the conference was, Dr. Satya Gupta, President of VLSI Society of India speaking about the advances in VLSI Design and the Chips to Startup (C2S) programme

  • Other panel of researchers explored about India’s journey towards a self-reliant semiconductor ecosystem. 

The two-day IECS 2026 Conference provided a global platform for researchers, students, and industry experts to foster interdisciplinary collaboration across areas such as AI, VLSI Design, Cyber Security, Signal Processing, Communication Systems, Healthcare Technologies, and Power Systems.
