IISc Bangalore to release GATE 2024 application form on August 24

GATE 2024 registration process will start on August 24th. Check details like how to apply, documents required, last date and other other important information about the GATE 2024 exam.  

The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore will release the GATE application form 2024 on August 24. The application form will be available online on the GATE 2024 portal. The last date to apply for GATE 2024 is September 29.

Candidates interested in taking admission to the postgraduate courses in engineering/humanities and basic science at IITs, NITs, and other participating colleges can apply for the GATE exam. IISc Bangalore will conduct the exam on February 3, 4, 10 and 11. IISc Bangalore has earlier released the complete schedule of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 and the same can be checked on the official website.

Who are eligible to apply for GATE?

Before filing the application form for GATE 2024, candidates are advised to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria to appear for the exam.

As per the eligibility condition mentioned in the GATE 2024 brochure, candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or who have completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2024.

Documents Required to Apply for GATE 2024

Candidates applying for the GATE exam need to have the following documents to fill the application form

• High-quality scanned image of the candidate’s photograph
• High-quality scanned image of the candidate’s signature
• Scanned copy of a valid photo Identity document

The quality and size of scanned images should be exactly as per the specification mentioned in the information brochure.

Subjects Covered in GATE 2024

GATE 2024 exam will be conducted for a total of 30 subjects. IISc Bangalore has added a new subject this year on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The rest 29 subjects are the same as the previous year. Candidates can check the complete list of all GATE 2024 papers and their syllabus, and exam pattern from the official website gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
