IIT Patna offers free course on IoT, machine learning

The course will be available on the SWAYAM NPTEL platform from February 20 to April 14, 2023. The last date to apply is February 20, 2023.  

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna is offering a free online course called “Foundation of Cloud IoT and Edge Machine Learning”. The course can be completed in eight weeks. It will be available on the SWAYAM NPTEL platform from February 20 to April 14, 2023. The last date to apply is February 20, 2023.  

The course has been designed with an objective to provide a comprehensive understanding of relevant technologies such as Internet of Things, machine learning and Cloud for various emerging computing paradigms of edge computing.  

The course will be conducted by professor Rajiv Misra who is working in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Patna. The course is free to enrol and learn from. But if you want a certificate, you have to register and write the proctored exam which will be conducted at any of the designated exam centres. The exam is optional for a fee of INR 1,000. 

This course provides an in-depth understanding of terminologies and the core concepts behind Cloud-IoT-Edge problems, applications, systems and the techniques, that underlie today's cutting-edge technologies.  

Though anyone can take up the course, those pursing degree in electronics and communication engineering, computer science engineering and electrical engineering can be benefited from the course.
