IIT Patna to do joint research with University of Newcastle, UK
Student exchange, Joint research activities, interchange of staff and graduate students for research, teaching will take place.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Newcastle, United Kingdom.
The purpose of this collaboration is to support the future engagement of researchers associated with both institutions in order to promote cutting edge research in emerging areas. From Newcastle University, Faculties of Science, Agriculture and Engineering are involved under this memorandum of understanding.
This co-operation will promote the exchange of research programs where students and faculty would be benefited through the latest developments in various disciplines. IIT Patna and Newcastle University will encourage direct contact and co-operation between their faculty and administrative staff, departments and research institutions.
Opportunities for the general forms of co-operation will be explored such as Student exchange, Joint research activities, Visits and interchange of staff and graduate students for research, teaching and discussions, and Joint conferences or symposia on subjects of mutual interest.
Specific details for the implementation of these activities will be developed mutually for specific projects. It will also provide an opportunity to the students, scholars and faculty members to carry out research and projects in emerging areas of engineering and to develop several advanced applications.
