IIT Patna to hold Convocation 2022 tomorrow

As many as 522 students will be awarded degrees in IIT Patna Convocation 2022 including 243 BTech, 113 MTech, 64 MSc, and 102 PhD degrees.

IIT Patna is all set to hold Convocation 2022 tomorrow, December 7, 2022, at Block 3 Ground, IIT Patna. During the event, 522 students will be conferred with the degrees including 243 students who will be awarded BTech degrees, 113 students who will get MTech degrees, 64 students with MSc, and 102 students with PhD degrees.

IIT Patna Director Prof TN Singh will award degrees to the students and the registrar will announce the name of the medal winners, this will be followed by the pledge by the degree recipients.

The Chief Guest of the event is Mr Jalaj A. Dani who is currently the Director of Reliance Foundation. He is also a co-promoter of Asian Paints and has spent over two decades in leadership positions within the organization. He serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of HDFC Ltd and Havells India, and a board member of the National Skill Development Agency. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Governors for the Indian Institute of Management (Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu) and is involved with various other organizations, government bodies and industry chambers.

Guest of Honour will be Dr G. Satheesh Reddy who is the Scientific Adviser to the Defence Minister which spearheads India's indigenous development of defence systems and technologies. He guides the development of major programmes on missiles and strategic systems, fighter aircraft and unmanned aerial defence systems, underwater systems, radar systems, strategic materials, armaments, and futuristic technologies. He is also the Chairman of, Governing Body of the Aeronautical Development Agency which has developed the 4th Generation Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, which is being inducted into active service.
