The Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Patna is all set to organise a workshop on Brain-inspired/Neuromorphic Computing for Responsible AI from March 20, 2023, to March 26, 2023. The course is intended for future researchers (M.Tech. and PhD students) and faculty members with a general introductory background in VLSI, Digital Electronics, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Devices, and circuits.
This course aims to provide theoretical and computational aspects of neuroscience and how the same can be extended for modern digital computing which can be highly energy efficient. Also, to teach the concept of a single Silicon neuron and its theoretical modelling for the development of basic computation building blocks.
Moreover, the course intends to impart learning on transferring aspects of structure and function from biological substrates to electronic circuits, hands-on training of TACD tools for mimicking neuronal behaviour, and the impact of AI on society promoting ethical values such as accountability and exclusiveness.
The registration amount is INR 8000 which includes the registration kit, boarding, lodging, and travel support and it will be accepted only through e-transfer.
Boarding, lodging, and travel support (train-AC-III only) will be provided to the first 25 participants.
