IP University will be considering the CUET 2026 score for BTech admission. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has released an official notification on its official website. Candidates can apply for BTech admission at IP University with CUET score and JEE Main Score.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has announced today that admission to BTech course will also be done based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score. IP University will use CUET scores as a secondary channel after JEE Main for BTech admission. 

Students who want to apply for the BTech programme (Code 131) can now apply with CUET score. Therefore, candidates are advised to appear for CUET 2026.  The university clarified that the seats not allotted through JEE Main score will be filled based on the CUET merit. 

According to a notice released, the Director (Higher Education), Govt. of NCT of Delhi has taken approval from the Lieutenant Governor, National Capital Territory of Delhi, for CUET as the secondary channel for BTech admission.

Q:   How can someone get admission to the B.Tech (Lateral Entry) program at IP University?
A:

To get admission for BTech Lateral Entry at IP University candidates must appear for IPU CET. Lateral entry to BTech course is permitted for candidates with a Diploma or BSc Degree. For Diploma holders the IPU CET exam code is 128. For BSc Degree holders the IPU CET exam code is 129. The candidates should check the syllabus for the exam and prepare accordingly.

Q:   For which non-medical programmes the score of the National Level Test is considered for admission?
A:

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University considers the merit/score of the National Level Test score conducted by agencies other than the University for admission to the B.Tech LL.B. MCA LL. M. and MBA. Only applicants who have passed the relevant National Level Test will be considered for admission through the university's counselling process if they meet the eligibility and admission requirements. It's crucial that applicants accurately enter their National Level Test application number/registration number in the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University's application form.
