The Indian Institute of Technology has successfully conducted the JEE Advanced 2026 exam. The exam was held across various exam centres in around 223 cities of India and abroad. Around 2 lakh candidates have appeared for JEE Advanced 2026 paper 1 and 2.
Now that the exam is over with JEE Advanced 2026 review of difficulty level available, candidates are curious to know what will be the qualifying marks for the exam. As per the JEE Advanced 2026 review for both paper 1 and 2 released by subject experts and students feedback, Maths was toughest in paper 1 whereas in Paper 2, Physics was toughest. Overall, Paper 1 and 2 both were moderate to difficult. Chemistry was easiest in both Paper 1 and 2.

The JEE Advanced 2026 cutoff will be released with the results of JEE Advanced 2026. Until then, candidates can check below the JEE Advanced cutoff from the previous years:
The JEE Advanced 2025 cutoff of the common rank list is 20.56%; 18.50% for the GEN-EWS rank list and OBC-NCL rank list; 10.28% for SC, ST, and PwD rank lists across all categories; and 5.14% for Preparatory course rank lists.
All those candidates who score above the cutoff marks in their respective categories can register for JoSAA counselling to participate in the IIT seat allotment process. Note that qualifying the JEE Advaced cutoff will not guarantee a seat in the IITs. Various factors are at play while allotting seats in the IITs. These factors include the demand for a course and IIT, the number of seats on offer, the reservation criteria, etc.
No, there will be no spot round of seat allocation at any of the IITs after the completion of the last round of JoSAA seat allocation.
