JEE Advanced 2026 Exam (Today) Live: Paper Timing, Dress Code, Exam Centre Guidelines
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will conduct the JEE Advanced exam today. The exam will have two papers - Paper 1 and 2, to be held in two shifts from 9 am to 12 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. This JEE Advanced 2026 live coverage will provide live question paper analysis, review, difficulty level and answer key with solutions after the exam gets over for each shift.
JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Live Updates: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2026 will be held today. There will be two question papers of 3 hours duration each, which students have to take. The JEE Advanced 2026 Paper 1 will be held in morning shift from 9 am and Paper 2 from 2:30 pm. Students must report to their allotted exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned in their JEE Advanced admit card 2026. Every aspirant have to carry the printout of their admit card, two passport size photograph, a valid photo ID proof and ball pen/pencil for rough work.
After the first shift exam gets over, memory-based JEE Main 2026 Question Paper 1 will be shared here basis the questions from students who appear in the exam. JEE Advanced 2026 difficulty level, paper review will also be shared. Similarly for shift 2, JEE Advanced 2026 paper 2 difficulty level and review will be shared.

JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Day Instructions
Candidates must adhere to all the exam day instructions mentioned in their JEE Advanced 2026 admit card. All important instructions for candidates mentioned in the admit card are given here
- Report to the exam centre as per the time mentioned in the hall ticket. Candidates who arrive late at the exam centre will not be allowed to appear in the exam.
- Candidates must bring their admit card downloaded from the website, two passport size photo, and one photo ID proof among Aadhaar, PAN card, Voter ID, School ID, Driving License.
- Candidates must bring their own pen/pencil for rough work. They must also bring their own water bottle
- Candidates will be provided one scribble pad for rough work. No extra scribble pad will be provided
- Candidates must not posses any prohibited item inside exam hall during their course of paper.

JEE Advanced 2026 Question Paper PDF; Paper 1 and 2 with Solutions
Coaching institutes will release memory-based JEE Advanced 2026 paper 1 and 2 PDF with solutions. These papers will be prepared based on questions provided by students who appear in the exam. JEE Advanced 2026 answer key will also be provided along with memory-based papers which will have correct answers to questions asked in exam. JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Live: Dress code of IIT JEE Adv
There is no specific dress code for JEE Advanced 2026. However, students must avoid wearing heavy clothes to avoid frisking delays. Students must wear light clothes without embroidery/metals. Every candidate will be frisked thoroughly before entry inside the exam hall.

JEE Advanced 2026 Paper Timing
The Paper 1 will start at 9 am for which entry will start at 07:30 am and gates will close at 08:30 am. Paper 2 will start at 02:30 pm. Gates for paper 2 will close at 02:00 pm.
Commonly asked questions
Aspirants must keep in mind that exam difficulty level cannot be determined by organising body. JEE Advanced paper is not made by one single IIT; but it is prepared by experts from multiple institutes. Difficulty level of exam is independent of the IIT conducting exam.
The JEE Advanced 2026 cutoff will be released with the results of JEE Advanced 2026. Until then, candidates can check below the JEE Advanced cutoff from the previous years:
The JEE Advanced 2025 cutoff of the common rank list is 20.56%; 18.50% for the GEN-EWS rank list and OBC-NCL rank list; 10.28% for SC, ST, and PwD rank lists across all categories; and 5.14% for Preparatory course rank lists.
All those candidates who score above the cutoff marks in their respective categories can register for JoSAA counselling to participate in the IIT seat allotment process. Note that qualifying the JEE Advaced cutoff will not guarantee a seat in the IITs. Various factors are at play while allotting seats in the IITs. These factors include the demand for a course and IIT, the number of seats on offer, the reservation criteria, etc.
