The National Testing Agency has scheduled the JEE Mains 2026 exam on April 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. The exam on April 5 can be rescheduled for the accredited candidates due to Easter. The Government of India has decided to allow candidates to file their requests after members of the Christian community raised concerns regarding the clash of the exam date with Easter.

Suresh Gopi, Minister of State for Tourism and Petroleum and Natural Gas, announced that this issue had been taken up with the Centre for urgent consideration. Following the representation, the Union Education Minister reportedly confirmed that candidates unable to appear for the exam on April 5 would be given an option to request a change of date. Students seeking rescheduling must submit their details via email to jeemain.query@nta.ac.in by March 28, today.

In session 1, exam dates for candidates in West Bengal were rescheduled due to Saraswati Puja. Therefore, it is highly possible that the candidates who are unable to attend the JEE Main session 2 exam due to Easter on April 5 will get new exam dates.

JEE Mains Session 2 Admit Card 2026 Expected Soon

The JEE Mains 2026 session 2 admit card is expected to be out anytime soon. The admit card will have the allotted exam date, shift time and the exam centre details. The admit card will be issued at jeemain.nta.nic.in, and candidates will need their application number and password to download it.

On the exam day, candidates have to carry a clear printout of the admit card. Students must ensure that all the details are visible. The admit card also mentions important instructions that must be followed strictly. Also, a government-approved photo ID, such as Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, PAN Card or Driving Licence, has to be carried for verification.
