JEE Main 2026 Admit Card Session 2: NTA has released the admit card for the JEE Main 2026 April 5, 6, 7 and 8 exam. Candidates can use their application number and password to download the JEE Main 2026 session 2 admit card. The hall ticket is available through the students' login at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
On the exam day, candidates must bring a printed copy of the NTA JEE Main admit card along with a valid government-issued identification card. The ID card should be the same one that candidates used when applying for the exam and is specified on the JEE Mains hall ticket.

Important documents / items to carry at JEE Main 2026 exam centre
- Admit Card downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear, preferably colour printout on A4 size paper)
- Candidate must carry at least two passport photographs. One Passport size photograph (same as uploaded with the Online Application Form) is to be pasted on the Attendance Sheet at the Centre.
- A valid Photo ID Proof as uploaded in online application form in ORIGINAL. Photocopies or images stored on mobile phones etc. will NOT be accepted. (Note: No Candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination Centre, without identity verification).
- Candidates whose live photographs did not match with the photographs available in their Aadhaar during the filling of the application form or those who registered using any other identity proof must carry the requisite certificate in original duly signed/attested by the Principal /Head Master or any Class-I Gazetted Officer, such as Tehsildar, Revenue Officer, SDM, DM/Class-I Gazetted Officer of the Indian Embassy (for NRI candidates), as per format.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Day 1 Exam Today
April 2 marks the first day of the JEE Mains session 2 exam. All candidates have to report to their allotted exam centre as per the shift time, reporting time and guidelines on the admit card.
The paper 1 exam will be held on April 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8. While papers 2a and 2b are on April 7.
NTA has notified that the final result of JEE Mains, that is, the session 2 scorecard, will be out by April 20.

NTA Changes JEE main 2026 Examination Centres and Dates
- Candidates who emailed to change their JEE Mains exam dates because of the Easter celebration on April 5 have been accommodated, and their exam dates have been modified accordingly.
- To prevent a conflict between the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 and the Class XII Board exams, the NTA collaborated with CBSE to gather the exam dates of candidates taking the Class XII board exams in 2026 to ensure there was no overlap with the JEE schedule. An input field was included in the JEE Mains 2026 Session 1 & 2 application forms for these candidates, allowing them to enter their CBSE registration/roll numbers. With the data on the schedules of these candidates provided by CBSE, the NTA organised the exam dates to eliminate any potential conflicts. Furthermore, any requests from candidates seeking a change in their JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam date due to other examinations were taken into account, and the exam dates were adjusted.
- Numerous candidates submitted requests to change their examination centres because of the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, and NTA has reviewed these requests and made necessary changes to the assigned centres.

Seat allocation at JEE Main 2026 exam hall
On the day of the examination, candidates must report to the designated examination centre well before the gate closing time. After manual frisking by the security personnel, candidates will proceed to their allotted lab and report to the registration desk managed by the exam delivery agency.
At the registration desk, Aadhaar authentication will be conducted, followed by the capture of the candidate's photograph as part of the registration process.
Once registration is complete, each candidate will be assigned a specific seat and console by the exam conducting agency. Candidates are required to occupy their designated seats well in advance of the JEE Mains exam start time
