JEE Main 2026 Exam Schedule; NTA Confirms Registration and Exam Dates
NTA has issued a public notice announcing the tentative JEE Main 2026 exam schedule for registration and exam. The authority will commence the JEE Main registration 2026 in October 2025. The JEE Mains 2026 exam for session 1 will be held in January and for session 2 in April. B.E/B.Tech aspirants of the national-level, JEE Mains exam can apply for either one or both sessions. NTA announces the JEE Mains exam will be held in two sessions- January 2026 and April 2026
The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued a public notice stating the advisory and instuctions on the documents required for JEE Mains 2026 registration on the website, nta.ac.in. The exam conducting body has also launched the JEE Main official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The notice dated September 29 confirms that the JEE Main 2026 exam will be conducted in the regular bi-annual format. The exam will be held in January 2026 and April 2026. Moreover, the notice also states JEE Main registration 2026 will be available online in the month of October 2025.

The exact dates for JEE Main 2026 and its other events will be announced later at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The authority will soon release the JEE Main information brochure comprising all the details on the exam including important dates, eligibility, pattern, JEE Main syllabus and more.
Through the public notice, the officials urged all candidates to get the mandatory documents such as Aadhar Card, UDID Card and Caste Certificate updated. During the JEE Main form filling process, students will be required to upload certain documents as applicable. The validity of these documents is essential to avoid any discrepancy or rejection at a later stage.
