The National Testing Agency (NTA) has sent emails to some candidates to upload the photo verification certificate. The email regarding the photo verification certificate was sent to certain candidates who registered for the JEE Main 2026 exam using identity proof documents other than the Aadhaar Card.

The candidates who have received the mail regarding the photo verification certificate upload must complete the process by today. This certificate is an important document, as it has to be carried to the JEE Main centre on the day of the exam in a printed format for verification. Check important details below.

JEE Main 2026 Important Update: Last Date to Submit Photo Verification Certificate Today

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has sent emails to some candidates to upload the photo verification certificate. The email regarding the photo verification certificate was sent to certain candidates who registered for the JEE Main 2026 exam using identity proof documents other than the Aadhaar Card. NTA has noticed some cases where the live photographs captured by the candidates during the application process did not match the photographs as per the records available with UIDAI.

The last date to complete the upload is today, January 15. The Photo Verification Certificate is available under the respective logins of the candidates at jeemain.nta.nic.in. To download this certificate, candidates have to login at jeemain.nta.nic.in using their JEE Main 2026 application number and password.

Note that the photo verification certificate must be filled with all the details asked and then candidates should get it attested by anyone of the following officers:

  1. School/College Principal/Headmaster
  2. Class-I Gazetted Officer, such as Tehsildar, Revenue Officer, SDM, DM
  3. Class-I Gazetted Officer of the Indian Embassy (for NRI candidates)

NTA has already issued the JEE Main 2026 city slip notifying the exam city and exam date. However, the candidate will get to know their exam shift, centre name and address on their JEE Main 2026 admit card, which is expected to be out anytime soon.
