JEE Main 2026 Session 1: Over 2.6 Lakh Candidates Appear with 96% Attendance on Day 1

JEE Main 2026: With more than 2.6 lakh candidates appearing and over 95% attendance across shifts, JEE Main Day 1 was conducted smoothly by NTA.

JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Exam: National Testing Agency conducted JEE Main session 1 day 1 exam smoothly on January 21 at all designated centres in two shifts. According to tweet of NTA on X platform, over 2.6 lakh candidates appeared for JEE Main Jan 21 day 1 exam, registering overall attendance of approximately 96%. 

NTA reported a high attendance rate across both shifts, underlining candidates’ preparedness in the examination system. Also, Aadhaar-based verification ensured secure, transparent, and fair identification of candidates at JEE Main 2026 exam centres. Special arrangements were made for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates.

Smooth Conduct of JEE Main 2026 Day 1 Exam 

The smooth conduct of JEE Main was made possible through coordination with State and District authorities, centre administrators, law enforcement agencies and technical teams. National Testing Agency stated that it remains committed to excellence, transparency, and integrity in assessment practices.
