JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam Begins Tomorrow, Check Exam Day Guidelines Here
The JEE Mains 2026 session 2 exam date is April 2 to 8 for papers 1 and 2. Candidates appearing for the national-level NTA JEE Mains exam can check the important guidelines and dress code for the exam to prepare for the test.
The National Testing Agency will conduct the JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam on April 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8 for paper 1. The paper 2 exam will be held on April 7. The exam will be held in two shifts, from 9 AM to 12 PM (Shift 1) and 3 PM to 6 PM (Shift 2). Candidates can check their scheduled date and time on the JEE Main admit card for session 2. All examinees have to carry their admit card and a valid photo ID proof while appearing for the exam. The authorities have issued the admit cards for April 2 and 4 only.

Things to Carry Along with JEE Main Admit Card 2026
Before leaving for the exam, candidates must ensure that they carry all mandatory items as prescribed by NTA. Failing to carry the mandatory documents will lead to denial of entry.
- JEE Main 2026 Admit Card
- Valid Photo Identity Proof - A government-approved photo ID, such as Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, PAN Card or Driving Licence, has to be carried for verification.
- Passport-size Photograph - At least two passport-size photographs, the ones uploaded in the application form.
- Photo verification certificate - Only for those candidates who have received an email from NTA.
JEE Main 2026 Exam Day Guidelines
- Ensure you reach the test centre at least an hour before the reporting time mentioned in your JEE Main 2026 admit card. Candidates have to undergo various mandatory processes, thus reaching on time is important.
- Write your name and roll number at the top of the rough sheets and return them before leaving the exam hall.
- Enter your required details in the attendance sheet in legible handwriting, put your signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression and paste the Photograph at the appropriate place. The Left-Hand Thumb Impression is clear and not smudged.
- Do not carry any prohibited items such as notes, electronics, calculators and more.
