JEE Main 2027 Session 1 Registration Next Month; NTA Advises Aadhaar Update Before Applying

JEE Main 2027 Session 1 registration is scheduled to begin next month. Candidates should keep their documents and identification details ready before the application window opens. NTA will release the detailed application schedule, eligibility criteria, fee and other instructions through the official notification and information bulletin.

JEE Main 2027 Session 1 Registration Next Month; NTA Advises Aadhaar Update

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the online JEE Mains 2027 form in the last week of October 2026, based on last year's trends. NTA has already announced the Session 1 exam date. The January attempt exam will be held on January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30. NTA is expected to release the JEE Mains form date with a notice by the end of September.

The application form and exam date for the April attempt of the NTA JEE Mains exam are yet to be notified. These details and more information will be available with the JEE Mains information brochure at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

NTA Advises Aadhaar Update for JEE Mains Registration 2027

For the last session, NTA has advised JEE Main candidates to ensure that their Aadhaar details are updated before applying. Candidates should check that their name, date of birth, photograph and other details are correct to avoid verification issues during registration.

However, Aadhaar is not the only identification option. In the previous year's registration process, candidates who did not have Aadhaar or preferred not to use it could authenticate themselves using alternative government IDs. These included:

• PAN Card
• Passport
• Voter ID

Candidates opting for non-Aadhaar authentication may have to complete additional verification at the exam centre. In the previous year's process, such candidates were required to report early for manual biometric and physical verification.

Candidates should follow the JEE Main 2027 information bulletin for the final identification and verification rules once released. Previous-year instructions should be treated only as a reference until NTA issues the 2027 guidelines.
