JEE Main, Maharashtra HSC Dates Out; Students Eagerly Await MHT CET 2027 Schedule

JEE Main, Maharashtra HSC Dates Out; When Will CET Cell Announce Schedule?

The JEE Main 2027 session 1 scheduled to begin on January 22. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has also announced the HSC 2027 examination schedule, with Class 12 board exams set to be held from February 8 to March 16. With the two major exam timelines now available, Maharashtra engineering aspirants are waiting for the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell to announce the MHT CET 2027 exam dates.

The MHT CET 2027 schedule has not been officially notified by the State CET Cell yet. However, the first attempt could be conducted between December 15, 2026 and January 15, 2027. The proposed timeline would place MHT CET 2027 before the JEE Main January session and ahead of the Maharashtra HSC board examination.

MHT CET 2027 Exam Date: What We Know So Far

The first attempt of MHT CET 2027 is expected to be held between December 15, 2026 and January 15, 2027, based on a statement from CET Cell Commissioner Dileep Sardesai. The second attempt is expected to be conducted in April 2027. However, there is no confirmed dates from the State CET Cell.

The JEE Main schedule is important for Maharashtra students because a large number of engineering aspirants prepare for both JEE Main and MHT CET. If the proposed MHT CET first-attempt window is retained, students could have to appear for MHT CET before beginning their JEE Main Session 1 examination.

The Maharashtra State Board has scheduled the HSC written examinations from February 8 to March 16, 2027. The practical, graded, oral and internal evaluation activities are scheduled from January 20 to February 6.

This makes the proposed MHT CET first-attempt window particularly relevant for Class 12 students. If the first attempt is conducted between December 15 and January 15, students would get an opportunity to complete an MHT CET attempt before the HSC written examinations begin. However, the exact MHT CET dates are important to determine how students plan their preparation for JEE Mains, boards and the state entrance test.
