The National Testing Agency officially announced that the JEE Mains session 2 city slip will be out in the second week of March 2026. However, with the start of the third week of March, NTA has yet to release the city slip. NTA will release the JEE Mains session 2 city intimation slip 2026 soon at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The candidates will be able to check their city slip under their respective logins using their application number and password. The JEE Main 2026 city intimation slip will inform the candidates of their allotted city and exam date.

The JEE Main city slip is not the admit card. It cannot be used to take entry at the exam centre. The purpose of the city slip is to inform the candidates in advance of their allotted exam date and city so that necessary travel and accommodation arrangements can be made.

When will NTA release the Session 2 JEE Mains City Intimation Slip?

Going by the past year's trends, the most expected release date for the NTA JEE session 2 slip is March 20.

Last year, the session 2 exam started on April 2, and the city slip was released on March 20. The same timeline is expected to be followed this year, too.

For any official notification regarding the NTA JEE Main 2026 city slip release date and exam date, candidates should check the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in.

What to do if the allotted exam city in JEE Main 2026 Session 2 city slip is far?

In case the allotted city is very far, candidates should make travel arrangements in advance. Book your tickets and hotel accommodations in advance to avoid travel issues on exam day.

Note that candidates must appear at the assigned location, as NTA does not accept city change requests. 

The allottee city via the JEE Mains city slip is final, and the exact exam centre and the exam shift will be allotted via the admit card. No further changes will be made to the exam city and centre.

NTA will issue the JEE Mains 2026 admit card 3 to 4 days before the allotted exam date of the candidate.

NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam between April 2 and 9. The exact exam dates will be notified to the candidates via the city slip and also via a separate notification by NTA at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
