JNTUH colleges allowed to teach Constitution of India as substitute subject to BTech students
The option is available for even-semester BTech and re-admitted BTech students.Ā
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) has allowed constituent and affiliated colleges to teach āConstitution of Indiaā as a substitute subject to BTech students, said university Registrar Prof M Manzoor Hussain in a letter to principals of colleges.Ā
He said students of colleges affiliated toĀ JNTUHĀ who had studied Environmental Science and Technology, Environmental Science, or Integrated Property Rights in 2020-21 academic year could opt to study Constitution of India instead of these subjects in the next academicĀ year.Ā The option is available forĀ even-semester BTech and re-admitted BTech students who have studiedĀ CE, ECE, ME, EEE, CSE, and IT.Ā
The letter read,Ā āPrincipals are requested to take necessary action for registration of the substitute subjects by the re-admitted candidates. They are also requested to ensure that subjects already studied are not repeated.āĀ
The university further said students who have completed eight years of the regular BTech programmes, and those who have completed six years of lateral entry BTech programmes are not eligible for re-admission.Ā Substitute subjects are not allowed to students who have been transferred from a different university, institution, or JNTUH-affiliated autonomous colleges to a JNTUH-affiliated college.Ā Ā
JNTUH is expected to announce the results of the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2021 soon.Ā Ā
JNTUHĀ was founded in 1965. Previously, it was known as Nagarjuna Sagar Engineering College. The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Act converted the educational institute into a university inĀ 1972.Ā It offers MBA, MCA, BTech, MTech,Ā BPharmacy,Ā MPharmacy, MS, MPhil and PhD degree programmes.Ā
