The university cited the Telangana government’s decision to extend holidays to all educational institutions till January 30.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) has decided to postpone all university end examinations (theory and practical regular/supplementary) scheduled up to January 30.

In a communication to the principals of all university and affiliated colleges, the JNTUH cited the state government decision to extend holidays to all educational institutions till January 30.

The circular issued by the university read, “The Telangana State Council of Higher Education has instructed all Telangana state universities Vice-Chancellors for postponement of examinations scheduled between January 17 and 30, 2022.”

It further read, “In view of the said circumstances, it is decided to postpone all university end examinations (theory and practical regular/supplementary exams) scheduled up to January 30, including mid-term exams.”

Further, all university colleges, affiliated and affiliated autonomous colleges of the JNTUH are instructed not to conduct any examinations during the holidays declared ny the Government of Telangana  without taking prior permission from the university. Otherwise, the examinations will not be considered by the university,” the circular added.

Earlier, JNTUH had postponed the BTech, BPharm, Mtech, Mpharm mid-term exams, which were scheduled to be held from January 10, fearing a rise in Omicron cases. The university also announced that it will continue with the same question paper pattern that it followed during the COVID-19 pandemic, meaning thereby, there will be no compulsory questions and students have to answer any five out of eight questions within time duration of three hours.
