JoSAA 2025 Counselling Round 1 Ends Tomorrow: Last Day for SAF Payment & Document Verification
The candidates allotted seats in round 1 of JoSAA 2025 counselling have until tomorrow to complete the seat acceptance fee (SAF) payment and respond to document verification queries, if any. The candidates must also doenload the provisional seat allotment slip. Check all details below.
JoSAA 2025 Counselling Round 1 Ends Tomorrow: Last Day for SAF Payment & Document Verification
The JoSAA 2025 round 1 counselling will conclude tomorrow, June 18. Candidates must ensure that they complete the payment of the SAF and have their documents verified by 5 PM tomorrow. However, for those who encountered issues with their payment after paying the fee before the deadline (June 18, 5 PM), JoSAA will address these problems by June 19. Candidates will have the opportunity to respond to queries related to document verification from the verification officer through their respective login by June 20, 5 PM.
Note that candidates have to pay the seat acceptance fee even if they want to upgrade their seats. In such cases, candidates must pay the SAF and opt for the slide or float option to be considered for allotment of better choices in the upcoming rounds of JoSAA counselling 2025.

JoSAA 2025 Round 2 Counselling
The candidates who have been allotted a seat in round 1 but have opted for float/slide will be allotted seats in round 2. Also, the candidates who could not get a seat in the JoSAA 2025 round 1 might get a seat in round 2 or further rounds. JoSAA 2025 will have 6 rounds in all. JoSAA 2025 round 2 seat allotment will be done on June 21 at 5 pm. Candidates who will be allotted a seat in round 2 can complete the online reporting (seat acceptance fee payment/document upload/response by the candidate to queries) by June 25.
How Much is the JoSAA 2025 Seat Acceptance Fee?
The JoSAA 2025 seat acceptance fee is INR 15,000 for SC, ST, GEN-PwD, GEN-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD or ST-PwD and INR 30,000 for all other candidates. Candidates can pay the JoSAA 2025 counselling seat acceptance fee using a Debit card / UPI / Credit card / Net Banking / E-Challan / CSC.

JoSAA counselling will start in June 2026, a day after the JEE Advanced 2026 result is announced. The dates for JoSAA 2026 has been announced on the official website of JoSAA - josaa.nic.in. The counselling will include at least 6 rounds of seat allotment.

It is mandatory to have minimum 75% marks (65% for reserved category) in class 12 to take admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Students should apply for JoSAA conselling only if they fulfill all conditions of eligibility. However many institutes admit students on basis of JEE Main where there is no requirement of minimum marks in class 12.
