JoSAA Counselling 2026 Round 5 Seat Allotment Out at josaa.nic.in; Know What's Next
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the Round 5 seat allotment result for JoSAA Counselling 2026 today, July 16, on the official website, josaa.nic.in. Candidates who participated in the counselling process can now check their allotted institute and branch by logging in with their JEE Main application number, password and security pin.
Candidates allotted a seat in JoSAA 2026 round 5 must complete the online reporting process, including uploading documents, paying the seat acceptance fee and responding to any queries raised by the reporting authority within the prescribed deadline. Failure to complete these formalities will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.

JoSAA Round 5 2026: What's Next?
As per the counselling schedule, candidates allotted seats in Round 5 can complete online reporting from July 16 to July 20, 2026. The reporting process includes:
- Online document upload
- Seat acceptance fee payment
- Responding to document verification queries
Candidates admitted to NITs, IIITs, IIEST and GFTIs also have the option to withdraw their seats during the notified withdrawal period. Meanwhile, Round 5 is the final admission round for IITs, after which admissions to IITs will conclude. Vacant seats in the NIT+ system will be filled through the CSAB Special Rounds.
How to Check JoSAA Round 5 Seat Allotment 2026?
Candidates can follow these steps to access their allotment result:
- Visit the official JoSAA counselling website.
- Click on the Round 5 Seat Allotment Result link.
- Enter the JEE Main application number, password and security pin.
- Submit the details.
- The allotted institute and branch will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and save the allotment letter for future reference.
The JoSAA Round 5 cutoff is also released in the form of opening and closing ranks for IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Candidates can use these cutoffs to analyse admission trends and assess their chances in subsequent counselling rounds or the upcoming CSAB Special rounds.
