JoSAA 2025 Counselling Website Updated; Schedule and More Details Soon
JoSAA website has been updated for the 2025 counselling process based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores. More details to be updated in due course of time.
JoSAA 2025 Website Updated
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling website has been updated for the 2025-26 session. Although the website is not hosting any details for the 2025-26 counselling session yet, it is expected to update all details soon. JoSAA 2025 registration starts a day after the JEE Advanced result is announced. This year, the JEE Advanced result will be out on June 2, and the JoSAA counselling 2025 registration is expected to start on June 3.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has been set up by the Ministry of Education [erstwhile Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)] to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to around 127 institutes. This includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 46 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single online platform - JoSAA. The official website fo JoSAA 2025 counselling is josaa.nic.in.
JoSAA 2025 Counselling Schedule SOON
The Josaa 2o25 counselling schedule will be available soon, along with the business rules. Currently, candidates can check the JoSAA previous year opening and closing ranks on the official website for all the IITs, NITs, IIEST Shibpur, IIITs and Other-GFTIs.
JoSAA 2025 counselling is expected to be held in five main rounds. Each round will have these steps: seat allotment, seat confirmation by candidates, online reporting at the allotted institute, and payment of fees.
All candidates who will qualify the JEE Advanced 2025 exam and have JEE Main ranks have to register for JoSAA counselling for admission to desired UG engineering courses offered by IITs, NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other GFTIs.
To appear in JoSAA 2025 counselling, candidates have to register online on the official website and fill out their choices of preferred courses and colleges. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their rank, choices entered for programmes and colleges, and availability of seats.

Students who rank in JEE Main above 1 lakh are eligible for admission to NITs. But not possible in top institutions.
The dates for JoSAA counselling 2026 choice filling will be announced once the result of JEE Main 2026 is declared. Candidates can fill choices only during the choice filling period. Also, candidates need to lock their choices before the last date.

Yes. you can. Both counselling has different purpose. JoSAA is for admisison to IIT and NIT+ system while JAC Delhi is for admission to IIIT D, NSUT, DTU, DSEU, and IGDTUW. Admission via both JoSAA and JAC Delhi is based on JEE Main ranks.
