How VJTI Spot Round Seats Will Be Allotted

VJTI has clarified that merely applying for the spot round does not guarantee admission. Seats will be allotted based on inter-se merit and the vacancies available when a candidate’s turn comes during counselling. Candidates must report on time and carry all applicable original documents along with self-attested photocopies. If a candidate is absent when called for counselling, the institute will call the next candidate in the merit list.

  • Q&A Icon
    Commonly asked questions
Q:   Can I still participate in MHT CET counselling if I do not accept the seat allotted to me?
    A:

MHT CET counselling and seat allotment process has several steps. Once a seat is allotted to candidate, he/she has option to “Accept and Freeze” and “Accept and Float”. If he/she is satisfied with allotted seat and selects first option, participation in next round counselling is not allowed. If candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat, he/she can select second option and participate in next round of counselling with the current seat.

Q:   I have not appeared in MHT CET. Can I register for the counselling?
    A:

Candidates who have not applied or still have not appeared in MHT CET can participate in the counselling based on their JEE Main score. Those who do not have MHT CET or JEE Main score can also participate in counselling based on class 12 marks.

Q:   Which college will I get with 97.5 percentile in MH CET?
    A:

With 97.5 percentile in MHT-CET, you have a strong chance to get admission in reputed colleges like PICT Pune, VIT Pune, SPIT Mumbai, or Thakur College of Engineering for branches such as IT, ECE, or Electrical. COEP and VJTI may be difficult for CSE. Government colleges like WCE Sangli, SGGS Nanded, and GCOE Amravati are also good options. You can get preferred branches in private colleges and core branches in government ones. Your chances further improve if you belong to a reserved category or have home university advantage within Maharashtra.
