JoSAA 2026 registration & choice filling LIVE: Documents Neede & Fees

JoSAA counselling registration & choice filling LIVE: All candidates with JEE Mains 2026 rank and JEE Advanced ranks can register for JoSAA counselling starting today, June 2. After registration is completed, candidates can immediately proceed to choice filling process. The last date to complete the registration and JoSAA 2026 choice filling is June 11. The registration window and choice filling process will commence at josaa.nic.in from 5 pm onwards. The complete counselling process is online.

JoSAA 2026 Registration & Choice Filling Last Date

Candidaes will be able to register and fill choices in JoSAA 2026 until June 11, 5 PM. The JoSAA registration and choice filling deadlines are not extended, hence candidates should complete the registration and choice filling as per the deadline.

JEE Advanced 2026 ranks will be needed for IIT admission, and the JEE Main 2026 ranks for admission to NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other GFTIs.

How to Register for JoSAA 2026 & Fill Choices?

Check below how to apply for JoSAA counselling 2026 and fill choices:

Step 1: New Candidate Registration

• Candidates have to authenticate themselves with JEE Main 2026 details. Click on the link that says “New Candidate Registration”.
• In the next step, enter JEE Main 2026 application number, date of birth, Mother’s name, and candidate’s name.
• Submit the details and verify the OTP sent to the JEE Main 2026 registered email ID and phone number.
• Create a new password in the next step for the JoSAA portal and proceed to login.

Step 2: Logging into the JoSAA 2026 Candidate Portal

• The candidate will be redirected to the JoSAA candidate portal after registration.
• Login with the JEE Main 2026 application number and the JoSAA password created.
• Verify the OTP sent to the registered email ID and phone number.
• Read important instructions and check all the details.
• If all details are correct, proceed to confirm the registration. If not, then click on the ‘edit’ button to change the details needed.

Step 3: Choice Filling

• The above two steps confirm the JoSAA registration process. Once done, candidates can proceed to choice filling and fill in choices of institute type, the name of the institute and the programme from the list displayed.
• To start the choice filling, verify using the OTP sent to the registered mobile number.
• Once the OTP is verified, candidates can use the “add” button to add the choices to their choice list.
• Candidates must add the choices in order of their preference. They can add as many choices as they want.
• Lock the choices before the last date - June 11. Locking the choices is mandatory. If a candidate does not lock their choices in JoSAA counselling, then their last saved choices will be auto-locked and will be used for seat allotment in all the rounds.
