For the 2026 session, the exam body has introduced a few new things. Bringing a lot of changes into the admission process. Here we have mentioned “What is New” this KCET session -

  • A new Candidate Portal allows applicants to download documents. The application printing process will depend on verification status of claimed reservations and study details.
  • For certain claims like Kannada medium or rural study, only a claim slip will be available, requiring verification at college before full application can be printed.
  • Candidates not making these specific claims can print applications after KEA verification.
  • Internal reservation for Scheduled Castes (SC) will be followed by a government order from 2025, requiring specific certificates as mentioned in the KCET notification PDF.
  • As part of a major change, a mandatory Aadhaar card verification requires the candidate's name to match their SSLC marks card and other certificates.
  • For detailed information related to KCET 2026, candidates must download the PDF available on the KEA website as well as from this page here.

The Karnataka CET is a state-level annual entrance exam which is conducted to shortlist candidates for engineering, pharmacy related courses in participating colleges in Karnataka.
