Kerala BTech lateral entry admissions 2022 begin; Last date to apply is July 13
Admission of non-Keralites will be restricted to the management quota seats in Private Self-Financing engineering colleges and Management seats in the Government controlled engineering colleges. Candidates may complete the final submission of the application by July 13, 2022.
BTech Admissions: LBS Centre for Science and Technology has invited eligible candidates to apply for admission to the Third Semester of the BTech courses under the Lateral Entry Scheme leading to a Degree in Engineering. Interested candidates may check the list of Engineering colleges, the courses/ branches offered and the number of seats available in each branch at www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in before the online allotment.
Eligibility Criteria
Only Indian citizens can apply for admission. Admission of non-Keralites will be restricted to the management quota seats in Private Self-Financing engineering colleges and Management seats in the Government controlled engineering colleges. The minimum age limit to apply is 18 years on December 31, 2022. There is no upper age limit.
Applicant should have passed Three years/Two years (Lateral Entry) Diploma in Engineering and Technology or DVoc awarded from State Board of Technical Education / Universities or Institutions under the Government of India or should have passed BSc degree from a recognized university with Mathematics at 10+2. Those appearing for the Final year of Diploma stream / DVoc stream / B.Sc stream Examination are also eligible to apply provisionally. Diploma/ DVoc candidates will be admitted only to the branch of Engineering as per the equivalency given in Annexure B of the Prospectus that can be downloaded from https://lbscentre.in/btechlatent2022/index.aspx
The mark requirements for the qualifying examination are also given in the Prospectus. Application: The application can be submitted online at https://lbscentre.in/btechlatent2022/index.aspx Application fee is Rs.1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST candidates).
Candidates applying for the programme can pay the application fee online or in any branch of Federal Bank in Kerala using the challan obtained after submission of personal details online, latest by July 11, 2022. Those candidates who pay application fee online can complete the application submission on the same day. Those remitting the application fee to the bank can complete the Application submission using the Application no and Chalan Number obtained, from on the next day after the remittance of the application fee in bank.
Candidates may complete the final submission of the application by July 13, 2022.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on an OMR-based objective type Entrance Examination of two hours to be conducted at centres across Kerala, on a date to be notified later. The Entrance Examination will be as per the syllabus of First year BTech curriculum of Kerala Technological University (KTU) and is given as Annexure K of the Prospectus. Each correct answer will get one mark. There is no negative marking mark for wrong answers. The Rank List shall be prepared with all the candidates in the order of marks secured in the Entrance examination, except those who secure Zero.
