MHT CET 2027: State Cell to Increase Exam Centres and CCTV Monitoring System

MHT CET 2027 Exam Centres to Be Increased

The Maharashtra government is planning to increase the number of examination centres for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2027 to make the exam more accessible to students across the state. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed officials to increase the number of CET examination centres so that candidates do not have to travel long distances to appear for the entrance test.

The proposed expansion of exam centres is part of the measures being planned for MHT CET 2027. The government is also focusing on strengthening security and monitoring arrangements at examination centres, including the use of CCTV cameras and closer supervision by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell.

The authorities will conduct the MHT CET in two sessions for admission to undergraduate professional courses, including engineering, technology, pharmacy and agricultural education courses in the state.

MHT CET 2027 Exam Centres to Be Increased

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed officials to increase the number of MHT CET examination centres across Maharashtra. The objective is to ensure that students get examination centres closer to their homes and reduce the need for long-distance travel. The expansion is expected to benefit candidates from different parts of Maharashtra, particularly those who may otherwise have to travel to another city or district to appear for the entrance examination. The final number and list of MHT CET 2027 examination centres are yet to be announced by the Maharashtra CET Cell.

CCTV Cameras, Monitoring Planned at MHT CET Centres

The government will also put a special focus to strengthen security and transparency of the test. As part of this, the test centres will have CCTV monitoring arrangements to ensure that the entrance examination is conducted fairly.
