Students, faculty, engineers, researchers and IT professionals can attend the course that began on February 7 and will continue till February 11, 2022.  

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Andhra Pradesh is conducting a short-term online course on ‘Technical Overview of Public and Private Blockchains.’ The course began on February 7 and will continue till February 11, 2022. 

The course is being managed by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the institute. Computer science engineers, research scientists interested in blockchains, IT professionals working in the fields of blockchain architect, blockchain developers, blockchain network operators or users can benefit from the course. Students, faculty and researchers can also participate. 

NIT Andhra Pradesh Director CSP Rao apprised the participants of the technological evolution in the blockchains domain and outlined the importance of this domain and its contribution to research and development efforts. The objective of the course is to provide exposure to the evolution of ‘trust’ and draw parallels to societal developments in which IT tools have played a key role. The approach will allow the participants to understand the origins of blockchains in a different manner. 

The first course instructor Ramki Thurimella, Department of Computer Science, University of Denver, the United States, spoke about the components of the course, course outcomes and expressed his best wishes for the participants of the course.
