NIT Srinagar to reopen for offline classes from Feb 21
Postgraduate and BTech eighth semester students who will be returning to the campus on February 21 are required to bring along a vaccination certificate and a negative RT-PCR report.
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar is all set to resume offline classes for postgraduate courses and BTech eighth semester students of all branches from February 21, 2022.
In a recent meeting held under the chairmanship of NIT Srinagar Director, Dean (Academic Affairs) Najeeb-ud-din said it has been decided to resume academic activities of postgraduate courses and BTech eighth semester of all branches from February 21 onward.
“The decision regarding resumption of academic activities of other semesters will be taken after reviewing the prevailing COVID situation,” he said and added that till now, only PhD research scholars were working in offline mode at the institute.
Najeeb-ud-din said all students who will be returning to the campus on February 21 are required to bring a vaccination certificate and a negative RT-PCR report along with them.
NIT Srinagar Director Rakesh Sehgal said all arrangements regarding resumption of offline classes from next week had already been made.

“The academic activities of other semesters will be resumed in a phased manner. We ensure that all COVID-19 precautionary measures should be adhered to so that there is no risk of spreading infection on the campus,” he said.
