Hackverse 3.0 is an online event and only current students (both Indian and International) are allowed to apply. Interested candidates can register at hackverse.nitk.ac.in free of cost. 

The National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal is organising the third edition of a student-led national-level 24-hour hackathon, โ€˜HackVerse 3.0โ€™, on February 26 and 27, 2022. Applications for HackVerse 3.0 are open till February 24, 2022. 

Hackverse 3.0 is an online event and only current students (both Indian and International) are allowed to apply. Interested candidates can register at hackverse.nitk.ac.in free of cost. The institute is looking for people who innovate and can build crazy, unique solutions to real-world problems.  

Hackverse is a team event. Student teams need a minimum of two members but a maximum of three. However, a student can submit the application alone and form teams after selection with other selected participants.  So far, more than 2,800 teams have registered for the event. The top three teams will receive a cash prize of INR 50,000, INR 35,000, and INR 25,000, respectively. The institute is also providing participation certificates, Hackverse 3.0 goodies for top 50 teams, digital ocean 60 days trial and cloud credits worth $100 and GeeksforGeeks discount worth INR 300. 

The official website read, โ€œHackVerse serves as a platform to encourage enthusiastic minds to brainstorm on solutions for challenging issues from all over India. The motive of gathering all like-minded hackers to our alma mater led to the creation of the idea in NITK Surathkal, the first of its kind. We provide a platform for innovations where developers can test and showcase their potential to the best of their abilities. The hackathon also comprises keynotes and workshops by executives from the industry.โ€
