NTA Issues Grievance Advisory For Raising Queries

National Testing Agency has issued important advisory for candidates who are raising queries or submitting grievances related to exams conducted by NTA. This advisory is to help candidates get quicker responses to their concerns by ensuring that complaints and queries have basic details required for identification.

As per NTA, it receives a large volume of grievances every day through email and social media platforms. However, many complaints do not have candidate's application number or examination name. This makes it difficult for NTA to identify concerned candidate and provide a timely response. This advisory is relevant for candidates appearing in major NTA examinations, including UGC NET, NEET and JEE, as well as other examinations held by National Testing Agency.

NTA Advisory: Details Candidates Must Mention

NTA has asked candidates to follow a few simple steps when submitting their queries or grievances. They should ensure that their communication contains all necessary information so that the issue can be directed to appropriate team. They should

• Use their registered email ID: Candidates should send their grievance from email address used while applying for exam.

• Mention Application Number: The application number should be clearly mentioned in subject line of email.

• Specify examination: Candidates should clearly state name of examination related to their query, such as NEET, JEE, UGC NET or any other NTA-conducted exam.

• Explain issue briefly: They should clearly and concisely describe problem they are facing.

• Attach supporting documents: Candidates should attach relevant screenshots, documents or other supporting evidence wherever required.

• Use correct examination helpdesk: They should send their queries to dedicated helpdesk email address for particular examination.

Why NTA Issued this Advisory?

NTA said that incomplete grievances make it difficult for officials to trace a candidate's records, particularly when the agency is handling applications from lakhs of candidates.

For example, an email that only states that a candidate is facing an issue with their application or examination, without providing an application number or examination name, may not contain enough information for officials to immediately locate the candidate's records. Providing application number, examination name and registered email ID can therefore help concerned team identify the candidate and examine the issue more efficiently.

Where Should Candidates Send Their Queries?

NTA has clarified that candidates should not send examination-related grievances to a common or unrelated email address. Instead, they should use the dedicated helpdesk email provided for concerned examination.

NTA exam-specific helpdesk details are available in respective examination's Information Bulletin and official website. Candidates should check these sources carefully before sending an email. This is particularly important for those dealing with time-sensitive issues related to application forms, admit cards, answer keys, results, correction facilities, examination centres or other exam-related matters.

Candidates raising queries for NEET, JEE or other NTA examinations should ensure that every email contains their registered email ID, application number, examination name and a brief description of issue. Relevant screenshots or documents should also be attached when necessary.
