As part of the programme, SKF India aims to support 150 girls from economically disadvantaged families from Pune, Mysuru, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Haridwar. 

SKF India, the leading bearings manufacturer, has announced its scholarship programme for deserving girl students who want to pursue diploma and engineering degree. As part of the programme, SKF India aims to support 150 girls from economically disadvantaged families from Pune, Mysuru, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Haridwar. 

The programme will be implemented by United Way of Bengaluru, an NGO that has been providing opportunities to girls to attain higher education through financial aid and career-ready programmes. 

Manish Bhatnagar, managing director, SKF India Ltd, said, “The SKF scholarship programme is part of our continuous endeavour towards empowering India’s youth especially young girls through education, skilling, mentorship, and counselling. We believe that an educated, confident, and independent young woman can lay the foundation of a stronger nation with a brighter future. Through this holistic scholarship programme, deserving students can overcome financial challenges and build their future by following their dream of pursuing higher education.” 

All about SKF India Scholarship 2021-22 

  • The candidate should have minimum 75% marks in SSC/HSC board examination in the 2021 academic year  
  • The scholarship will be applicable in select AICTE-affiliated engineering/diploma colleges 
  • The candidate’s family income should not exceed INR 3.5 lakh. 
  • The candidate will be able to avail of the scholarship till the end of the course 

Scholarships of up to Rs 40,000 will be awarded as part of the programme. The amount will be paid in equal annual installments over the period of the degree of study. Candidates will have to submit proof of passing every year to continue the scholarship.
