VIT 2026 Admission: Documents to Carry During Orientation, Affidavits, Instructions

VITEEE 2026: The counselling session for VIT admission is now over. Now, the university is all set to start the VIT 2026 orientation session for its respective campus. Candidates can check the what documents to carry during orientation program, affidavits list, and VITEEE 2026 admission instructions.

Candidates appearing for VIT orientation session 2026 can check the list of documents required for verification. VITEEE 2026 counselling from Phase I to V has been completed. The phase V seat allotment result was declared on June 20 at vit.ac.in counselling portal. Now, students who have paid their tuition fees must check their registered email ID to get notification regarding VIT 2026 orientation session, documents to carry, and academic start date. 

Documents to carry during VIT Orientation

Candidates must carry original and photocopies of the following documents for VIT 2026 orientation session-

Original documents to carry for VITEEE 2026 document verification

• 10th marksheet

• 12th marksheet

• Transfer certificate

• Migration certificate

• Provisional admission letter

• Passport-size photograph (3 to 4 copies approx)

• Aadhar card or any ID proof, such as PAN card, Voter ID, etc.

• Physical Fitness Certificate

• Character certificate

The last two documents are optional. Ensure that you carry all the above documents. 

Required Affidavits for VIT Admission

Students who have been allocated through VITEEE 2026 must ensure that they download the following affidavits from the official website and fill them accordingly -

• Student affidavit

• Parent affidavit

• Hostel affidavit

• Undertaking form

• Discipline affidavit

Photocopies of Documents to carry

Students are required to carry the following documents (photocopy) at the time of verification process -

• 10th and 12th marksheet

• Migration certificate

• Admission letter copy 

• Aadhar card copy

• Category certificate

Also, we advise students to carry a digital backup of all the above documents along with fee payment receipts. The VIT 2026 document verification will start right after the orientation program. VIT will inform the students on their registered email ID regarding all the documents checklist. 

When will the classes begin?

The start date might differ from campus to campus. However, Vellore Institute of Technology usually starts its academic session in first/second week of July, which covers orientation, course registrations, and initial assessments. So, plan your travel and arrange all documents accordingly.
