VIT placements: 81 students get Rs 23 lakh annual package; Rs 75 lakh highest CTC

As many as 81 students from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) have received pay packages of Rs 25 lakh per annum in the initial phase of the placement season at the institute. The highest CTC of Rs 75 LPA was offered to two students by a start-up.Β

According to a press release issued by the institute, campus placements at VIT began on July 15 for the 2022 graduating batch. Companies such as Microsoft, Dyte, Amazon, PayPal, DE Shaw India Pvt Ltd, Morgan Stanley, Udaan andΒ WorkIndiaΒ participated in the placement session.Β 

The entire placement process, including test, technical and HR interviews, was conducted online. Chancellor Dr G Viswanathan announced the results of the slot 1 campus placements. Microsoft selected 21 students for full-time offers, PayPal – 13 offers, Udaan – three offers, Dyte – six offers, WorkIndia – eight offers, DE Shaw India Pvt Ltd – two offers, Morgan Stanley - 10 offers and Amazon – 13 offers, said the release. The highest CTC of Rs 75 lakh per annum was offered to two students by Dyte.Β 

Followed by first slot placements, companies such as Wells Fargo, Texas Instruments, Walmart labs,Β KompriseΒ and Societe Generale are in the pipeline for upcoming slots.Β Β 

129 students get pre-placement offers

Meanwhile, 129 students received pre-placement offers (PPO) from DE Shaw India Pvt Ltd (1 offer), Fidelity Investments (13), HPE CTY (8), JP Morgan (60),Β NatwestΒ (2), Wells Fargo (10), Visa (10), Morgan Stanley (5), ZS associates (7) andΒ AppointyΒ (3). Overall, 195 super dream placements and internship offers were rolled out to students by top companies within two weeks of the placement season, Viswanathan said.Β Β 

Vellore Institute of Technology (also known asΒ VIT Vellore) is a private deemed University, located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. It was established by G Viswanathan as Vellore Engineering College in 1984 under the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956.Β
