VITEEE 2026 exam pattern sees major changes. The total marks for VITEEE 2026 as increased from 125 to 500 marks. Candidates will now get 4 marks for every correct answer while there is a deduction of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.

VITEEE 2026 Exam Pattern Sees Major Changes; Total Marks Increased, Negative Marking and more

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has released the VITEEE 2026 paper pattern at viteee.vit.ac.in. The authorities have made major changes to the VITEEE exam pattern 2026, particularly in the marking scheme. Unlike in the past years, the exam now has a negative marking provision of 1 mark for every incorrect answer. Moreover, students will now be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer. In the past, this was 1 mark only.

The number of questions and duration for the VITEEE 2026 exam remain unchanged. Candidates have to attempt 125 questions in 2 hours and 30 minutes. However, the total marks for VITEEE 2026 is 500.

VIT officials have released the VITEEE 2026 application form at viteee.vit.ac.in. The VITEEE 2026 registration last date is March 31, 2026. The exam will be held from April 28 to May 3, 2026. Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) conducts the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) every year as an annual exam for BTech admissions into its several campuses. Admission to the courses is based on the candidate’s performance in this test.
