VITEEE 2026 Registration Last Date: Know how to apply, fees, instructions, and more
Vellore Institute of Technology has started VITEEE 2026 registration for BTech admission. Online VIT application form is now available and the last date to apply is March 31, 2026. Candidates can check the complete details regarding the registration process, fees, and exam pattern below.
VITEEE 2026 registrations are ongoing. The application process started on October 24, 2025. Candidates who want to apply for the BTech engineering entrance exam can submit their form till March 31, 2026. The official website to apply is viteee.vit.ac.in.Candidates are advised to check VIT eligibility criteria before form filling.
Qualified candidates will be offered admission at VIT Vellore/Chennai/AP/Bhopal campus.

VITEEE Application Form Filling Process
Candidates who want to register for VIT BTech entrance exam must go through criteria. The steps to apply can be checked below -
- Visit the official website
- Click on register and complete the process to generate application number
- Login and enter personal, educational qualification, test city, and other details
- Make fee payment
- Upload photo and signature
- Submit VITEEE application form and save a copy
The VITEEE registration fee is INR 1350 for all categories and can be paid through netbanking/credit card/debit card.
Does VITEEE have negative marking?
Yes, this year VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) has introduced negative marking in the exam. As per the new VITEEE 2026 marking scheme, 4 marks will be awarded for correct answer and -1 mark will be deducted for incorrect response.

Candidates are advised to start filling their application form as soon as possible to avoid technical glitches. To score a good mark in the entrance exam, solve VITEEE PYQs, mock test papers and focus on concept building.
Vellore Institute of Technology Chennai offers admission based on entrance exam score or merit of the aspirants in the qualifying exam. The institute conducts its own entrance exam such as VITEEE, VITREE, VITMEE for admission to BTech, PhD and MTech/ MCA courses, respectively. VIT Chennai also considers national or state-level entrance exams such as CLAT, CAT, MAT, etc. for admission to specific programmes. Selected candidates may also need to pass the personal interview round for final admission.
The VIT Vellore M.Tech admission process is completely entrance-based. Candidates are offered admission based on VITMEE exam, which is conducted at the university-level by VIT. Students need to qualify the exam to proceed to further selection rounds. The shortlisted candidates are offered final admission based on their performance in PI round.

Admission to VIT Vellore courses is based on the entrance test and merit. Programmes like BTech, MTech, MBA, MCA admisison is based on entrace test scores, therefore it is important to score good marks in the test. Also, students need to meet the minimum admission criteria.
Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology with at least 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST and others)
Candidates with date of birth falling on or after July 1, 2004
Graduation with a minimum of 60% aggregate or first-class
Class 12 with at least 65% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST and others) with Commerce /Accountancy /Book Keeping and Accountancy /Mathematics /Business Maths & Statistics /Business Studies /Business Management /Business Economics /Economics as one of the subjects in the qualifying examination
Any three-year UG/ Integrated degree with at least 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST and others)
Class 12 with Mathematics/ Business Mathematics as one of the subjects in the qualifying examination with at least 65% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST and others)
Candidates with a date of birth falling on July 1, 2006 or after
Graduation in a relevant discipline with at least 60% aggregate
Master’s degree in the relevant stream of Science with a first-class or a minimum of 60% aggregate
