VIT Counselling: What to expect from phase I seat allotment?

Experts analyse that for 20001 to 40000 rank range, core CSE at Vellore campus under low-fee category is difficult. Core CSE seats mainly close early, thus students must be prepared to opt for category 4 or 5, if they really want core CSE at Vellore.

Alternatively, VIT Chennai campus can be a good backup option, with strong chances of securing CSE specialisation branches under category 2 or 4. For students prioritizing budget over campus location, locking category 1 or category 2 for core streams like ECE or EEE or ME at Vellore or Chennai campus can be a cost-effective decision.Β 

What to keep in mind while doing VITEEE 2026 Choice-Filling?

During choice filling day, based on your priority enter all your choices at VITEEE counselling portal. Add the course and enter the same under every category. The course/branch is what matters most. If you want a programme and fee does not matter, then make sure you include all the categories. Make sure to make different combinations and include additional programmes to stay on safe side.Β
