West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) is expected to release WBJEE 2026 official notification soon. Candidates will be able to check the official WBJEE 2026 exam date and other important exam related information online at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. In previous year, WBJEE exam date was announced in December, so candidates can expect official notification for upcoming academic year anytime soon.

WBJEE Eligibility Criteria: What are the domicile requirements for admission?

Before WBJEE registration, candidates should check official eligibility criteria. It is required for candidates to meet WBJEE 2026 eligibility criteria, otherwise their admission may be cancelled. WBJEEB will release official exam and admission criteria online through WBJEE 2026 information brochure.

Since domicile requirements have to be met for admissions into Home State quota seats, criteria to be eligible as a West Bengal domicile candidate can be checked below.

• Candidates should have been residing in West Bengal continuously for atleast 10 years, as of December 31, 2025. OR
• Their parents should be permanent resident of West Bengal with a permanent residential address within the state.

According to their domicile eligibility, candidates will have to submit proformas signed by competent authorities. During counselling, if the proforma is not submitted, then their admission under Home Quota seats may get cancelled.
