When will GATE 2026 answer key be released: expected date, time, how to download, raise objections

IIT Guwahati will soon release the GATE 2026 answer key on its official website. The GATE exam was held on the scheduled dates: February 7, 8, 14, and 15. Students are now eagerly waiting for the answer key to be published. Read below to check the GATE official answer key 2026 release date and time. 

When will GATE 2026 answer key be released?

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering has been successfully conducted. This year, IIT Guwahati conducted GATE 2026 for admission to higher postgraduate degree and research programmes, and PSU recruitment. The computer-based test was held on multiple days in two shifts across different centres in India.

GATE Answer Key 2026 release date and time

Based on past year’s trends, the conducting body usually releases the GATE 2026 provisional answer key within 10 to 12 days after the completion of the exam. Thus, based on last year’s answer key release date analysis, it is expected that the GATE response sheet answer key will be released by the fourth week of February 2026, most likely by Feb 27. 

How to access GATE 2026 Answer Key

Candidates who appeared for the exam can access the GATE answer key and question paper at GOAPS portal. The process to download can be checked below -

• Go to official website
• Click on applicant portal and enter enrollment ID and password details
• Select download answer key and master question paper option
• Save and tally to check probable scores. 
• To calculate scores, candidates must follow the marking scheme. 

GATE Objection Window 2026

Along with the answer key PDF, students will also get opportunity to raise objections. To challenge, candidates to select raise objection query and submit valid justification to support the answer. Once the objection window is closed, the experts will review and if the challenge is found valid, the answer key will be revised, and will reflect in GATE final answer key 2026. The result will be prepared based on the final answer key only.
