Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) has invited applications for admission to the PhD programme in Law and Allied subjects 2022-23.

Gujarat National Law University invites applications for PhD programme 2022

Admissions are open at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) for PhD programme in Law and Allied subjects 2022-23. The eligibility criteria are the applicant must have a Master’s degree or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST/OBC/DA and other categories of candidates and for those who had obtained their Master's degree prior to 19th September 1991) or its equivalent grade or an equivalent degree. The applicants with the MPhil degree are also eligible for admission to the PhD programme.

Admission process for PhD program

The selection process includes an admission test (UGC NET/JRF and MPhil passed candidates shall be exempted) to be held on June 11, 2022, and a presentation of the proposed research before the Departmental Research Committee (DRC) to be held on the first week of July for the applicants who will qualify the entrance test by 50% score.

The duration of the admission test will be 2 hours and there will be two question papers with a total of 100 multiple choice questions.

For promoting Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) culture among the students, academicians and practitioners, GCADR organised many lecture series on May 20, 2022. The session was interactive and no certificates were provided for the same.

GNLU offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses in law and many interdisciplinary areas.
