HRD Minister announces launch of four new Kendriya Vidyalayas
Ministry of Human Resource Development has announced the introduction of four new KVs across the country. Check the admission details and others below.
Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has launched four new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) across the country. The new KVs are set to be launched as KV SSB in Champawat, Uttarakhand; KV Railway in Dangoaposi in Jharkhand; KV Madhupuri in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh and KV Sumerpur in Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh.
With the introduction of these four new schools, the total number of Kendriya Vidyalayas in the country has now increased to 1,239.“Now, the total number of Kendriya Vidyalayas has increased to 1239,” HRD minister tweeted.
He also congratulated the students and parents saying, “I heartily congratulate all the students and parents benefiting from the new Kendriya Vidyalayas and hope that our Kendriya Vidyalayas will continue to spread the light of education in every corner of the country.”
In 2019, around 50 Kendriya Vidyalayas were set up under civil and defence sector across the country.
The admission to these Kendriya Vidyalayas and their completion will be conducted as per the schedule for the academic year 2020-21.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan said: “The Vidyalayas will start functioning from Class 1 to Class 5 during the academic year 2020-2021 and thereafter will grow consequently based on feasibility. Each class will start with a single section now."
In 2019, about eight lakh registrations were received for admission to KVs as against one lakh seats available across the country.
This year, the admission process for academic year 2020-21 has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country, followed by the nationwide lockdown.
